November Platform Update

  • Dekko’s two-factor authentication mechanism has moved from our mobile app to 3rd party authenticator apps. This change is motivated by a number of factors:
    • When using an authenticator app you will be able to authenticate in to Dekko when your computer has an internet connection, but your phone does not.
    • A great number of our users already use authenticator apps. This will help consolidate their security experience.
    • The current Dekko mobile app is being retired and this will give users a secure alternative until its replacement is available.

Please visit our 2FA documentation page to learn more here!
  • We have added two new text elements to make approvals in DekkoSIGN faster – ‘x’, for checking boxes, and adding current date:
  • DekkoCHAT and DekkoMAIL threads can now be exported as PDFs:

October Platform Update

  • Dekko is now 100% ready to integrate with Azure Active Directory. Doing this integration is extremely easy and only required a couple of simple steps, and then you’re ready to easily authenticate in to Dekko. Learn more about AAD integration at our documentation page here. AAD users can be identified a marker in the Circle contact list:
  • We are currently in the scoping stages of a complete UI refresh of the Dekko platform. This update will make the entire Dekko experience much more enjoyable and more efficient. Stay tuned for our initial release to get an early preview, as well as an opportunity to give feedback!

September Platform Update

September has been a huge month at Dekko from both a technical and business development perspective. We are currently taking feedback from customers, roadmapping the platform’s future and evaluating new and exciting technologies to integrate in to our feature set. In the coming month you will find us at several events, including Lawtech Summit, the 2019 AISA Cyber Conference and Regtech Edge Showcase. In addition to these events, Dekko is also part of the NSW–India Cyber Security Exchange lead by NSW Government, Optus and Macquarie University.

In particular on the tech side, we are working with our partners to improve the administration experience in Dekko which will result in an even better tenancy manager, as well as better tools to track the audit log outputs that are available from the platform. This month a number of performance and stability upgrades have been rolled out. While not immediately obvious, these changes will result in a much improved overall experience on Dekko.

As always, please be sure to keep your web browser up to date (not only for us, but for your general security!) to ensure that you are getting the best Dekko experience.

The Dekko team.

August Platform Update

  • Dekko now supports upload interrupt recovery. If you accidentally close the tab Dekko is open in, reload the page, or your internet connection drops out during an upload, the upload will be recovered.

If your Dekko tab is closed and reopened or the page is reloaded the system will ask you to select the file again from your local storage and then continue the upload. This will be done sequentially if you were uploading multiple files.

If your internet connection drops out the upload will continue when it is reestablished.

  • The Audit log now indicates when a file download is complete:
  • Handling of PDFs that are scanned and uploaded to Dekko for viewing and approval using DekkoSIGN has been improved to account for more combinations of page sizes, aspect ratios and page rotation.
  • We have ended support for Internet Explorer. Unfortunately due to its age and lack of support from Microsoft, IE cannot facilitate for the modern components and frameworks that Dekko relies on to function, and thus to ensure our users are getting the best experience we ask that Dekko is accessed using Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.

  • Folders can now be downloaded as a ZIP file. To do this select a folder and press ‘Download’, then the folder and it’s contents (including sub-folders) will be bundled and downloaded as a ZIP archive:
  • A stamp or seal can now be added to your profile. This can either be an image, or a drawn entry (for example, an initial):
  • Users set as shared folder admins can now move files and folders to folders they are a part-owner of. Previously only folder owners could do this.

April Platform Update

  • The ‘Upload allowed’ option for shared folder recipients has been updated so that they can not only upload files, but also create and upload folders.
  • When you share a folder with the ‘Is Admin’ option selected, that user becomes a fellow owner of the folder. This means that they will be able to share files/folders within that folder, access audit logs, rename files/folders, delete files/folders and make sharing permission adjustments:
  • Multiple improvements to DekkoSIGN:
    • Padding has been increase to make moving text, image and signature blocks around on touch screens easier
    • The padding outline has been changed to red to make blocks more easily identifiable on text-heavy documents
    • The time and date button for signatures has been split so that they can be inserted into documents separately
  • Audit logs in the tenancy management dashboard are now exportable as a .csv file for your records. Make sure you apply appropriate filters to produce more meaningful collections of data and to reduce file sizes and processing time:
  • Minor UI improvements have been made all over Dekko to make the overall experience better. This includes more intuitively named options and better menu organisation throughout.

March Platform Update

  • Now when you share a document the system will tell you when the recipient has read it in the form of an initial next to the [shared] tag. When you hover your mouse over the [JS] tag for example, it will say ‘viewed by John Smith’. Files will also be marked when you have read them too.
  • There is now a back button so that when you’ve finished reading a document you can return back to the folder it was contained within. The same behaviour will now occur after you save an approved document.
  • On iPads documents are now scrollable so that you can move around in the document while zoomed in.
  • Azure Active Directory integration is now available on Dekko. This means that your organisation can leverage its existing identity and authorisation management system to create and sign in to Dekko accounts (and you won’t need to remember a new password!).
